Erh, change that "does" to "doesn't".

most DNSBLs. It does, however, often trigger checks to see if it is
an open relay/proxy and such. In the case of domain names and RHSBLs,
it often triggers checks for the name server and whois data.

Even bounce messages? And 'email signup confirmation' mails from website
registrations?

Those types of emails will still often trigger checks for open relays,
open proxies, and other checks to see it if is coming from a spammy
source. Especially if the source of the email hasn't been check
recently or isn't known to be a valid email source.
