I think the correct solution is that hallmark change its 'mail from' syntax:

MAIL FROM:<@hallmark.domain:card-sender(_at_)example1>

According to RFC2821, source routing SHOULD NOT be used my mailers. 
Although MTAs MUST accept such a syntax, they SHOULD ignore the
routing and use only the last part.

Does anyone know off-hand how source routing interacts with SPF?  I
would hope that MTAs would react to the above MAIL FROM: by passing
SPF just card-sender(_at_)example1(_dot_)
