This is why I recommend it: "modern" MTAs will skip the route part.

Hallmark does not want to receive bounces and SPF-aware hosts wants to check the envelope sender. It is expressed exactly by the 'mail from' example.

[ Additionaly it will be possible filtering out at the SMTP level "e-card from a friend" messages if You dont like e-cards :-) ]
