Hi guys and gals!
I need your help.
I've been talking with John Levine, the chair of the IETF Anti-Spam
Research Group about real-world experiences and testing of SPF. He
has asked some good questions, and while I can do my best to answer
them myself, I would really appreciate it if others took a little time
and give me a broader prospective on the situation.
So, here are the questions:
* What kind of SPF records are bad guys publishing?
* How much does SPF delay mail delivery?
* What's the profile of the mail where SPF checks work?
* How much bogus mail does SPF catch that other filters wouldn't have
gotten?
* What other important real-world experiences with SPF can you think
of?
Please post or email me, and I'll summarize it and send it off to the
MARID list. Yes, I realize that some of this will take a little
research, but I'm not surprised that the chair of the Anti-Spam
*Research* Group is interested in hard data.
Thanks!
