I think SPF+SES is a fine idea and solves forwarding

library, etc for a DNS server that answers SES queries?
I spent this weekend working on porting customdns (based on dnsjava.org)
http://customdns.sourceforge.net to dnspython (dnspython.org). It is
progressing, but requires porting other pieces of dnsjava to dnspython as
well. I am considering porting the Python SES library to Java
instead. Having both in the end would be handy.
Another possibility is the Twisted framework for Python, which includes
a custom DNS server - but that is larger than I wanted to require.
Some people have patched bind to call a C SES library. I prefer
a virtual machine for a custom server for security reasons, and
having to patch bind is a barrier to deployment.
Will try to have something by next week if work doesn't get in the way.
