We've had plans for over a week to publish spf2/SenderID records.  Several
articles published this fact last week.

Yeah, but you (or someone over at AOL) have *removed* support for
SPF-classic by publishing *only* SenderID records.

So, I too ask:  What's going on here?  Are you really abandoning
SPF-classic in favor of only the PRA?
