If the SPF council starts sending out idiotic messages like this then it

finished. There is no legal or moral authority behind the demand.
The objective here is to stop spam. The world does not care about your
piffling and irrelevant vendetta against Microsoft.
It's not a vendetta. It's a justified fear as demonstrated by the conflation
of SenderID and resulting confusion with the simpler, more robust system
with the more complex and patent-encumbered Microsoft XML approach.
