The fact that it isn't particularly useful doesn't make it
illegit, does it?

I'm no expert in all details of the RFCI listing policy.  When
I'm unhappy with what they do I discuss it on RFCI discuss or
with the admins (Derek or Ralf), and after all it's Derek's
server: his rules.

One IAB Chair replacing RfC 954 by RfC 3912 clearly against the
interests of the Net at large took me one day of research, and
now RFCI uses RfC 1032 to justify its "whois ignorance policy".

IAB and IESG will meet _serious_ resistance if they try to kill
RfC 1032 too.  There's a reference to RfC 1032 in RfC 1034, and
that's the moment where the bloodshed hits the fan.  Bye, Frank
