You can assign an MX record to look.mom.i.can.have.lots.of.sub.domains.org, 
which is what I implied.  Then you can, for fun, use that über-long domain 
in a vanity e-mail address.  Now, the fact that such über-long domain 
names aren't particularly useful doesn't make them illegit, does it?

MX->CNAME is about as illegit as "v=spf1 redirect=claranet.de".

I'm no expert in all details of the RFCI listing policy.  When
I'm unhappy with what they do I discuss it on RFCI discuss or
with the admins (Derek or Ralf), and after all it's Derek's
server: his rules.

Of course, people may run whatever blacklists they want.  Receivers just 
shouldn't be using blacklists with stupid listing policies.
