[spf-discuss] Weird spf record

2005-10-29 06:34:30
Helo,

what can I make of this:

[japc(_at_)morgoth:~]$ dig txt portoeditora.pt
(...)
portoeditora.pt. 86400 IN TXT "v=spf1" "mx" "ptr"
"mx:servermail.portoeditora.pt" "mx:smtponi.portoeditora.pt"
"mx:smtppt.portoeditora.pt"
"mx:newsletters.portoeditora.pt" "ip4:213.58.193.36" "ip4:194.65.106.36" "-all"
(...)

Aside the redundancy is this a valid record?

It gives me

[japc(_at_)morgoth:~/libspf-1.0.0-p3/bin]$ ./spfqtool_static -v
SPF Query Tool v0.4 - James Couzens <jcouzens(_at_)codeshare(_dot_)ca>

[japc(_at_)morgoth:~/libspf-1.0.0-p3/bin]$ ./spfqtool_static -i 212.55.154.196
-s japc(_at_)portoeditora(_dot_)pt
You didn't give me a helo host, using (nobody)
SPF short result: neutral
SPF verbose result: policy result: [neutral] from rule []
RFC2822 header: Received-SPF: neutral (nobody: domain of
japc(_at_)portoeditora(_dot_)pt is neutral about designating 212.55.154.196 as
permitted sender)

TIA.
