 Re: [spf-discuss] DKIM-SSP integration SPF

The problem is:
Before you can get an alliance, both parties need to want the alliance.
I am not sure what real benefit SPF has for the alliance, other then
adding the overhead of DKIM. SPF has a goal, and it accomplishes it,
existing broken forwarding not withstanding.
As far as DKIM side wanting the alliance, I cannot speak for the DKIM
folks, but I think one could certainly examine what they would have to
benefit, and if their belief is that they are already the end all and be
all of a solution, I don't think it will happen.

Did this mail get out? or is no one interesting in pursuing this SPF/DKIM
future world?
My point of view is that we will add many options to customers. We
currently offer:
  SMTP LEVEL:
FILTER (Rule Based White/Black List Filter Scripting)
     DNSRBL
     SPF
     CBV
  SMTP DATA LEVEL:
     MAILFILTER (Heuristics Scripting)
DKIM-SSP as a payload concept will be added to the SMTP DATA LEVEL. Other
systems will have post SMTP implementations.
The question, if any, is there relationship between SPF and DKIM-SSP? If so,
what is that?

Subject: [spf-discuss] DKIM-SSP integration SPF

SPFers,
If it has not already been done, I think it is fast approaching
the time the SPF community develop a clear picture on how it
will accept and live in a future DKIM-SSP world.
SPF includes administrators, developers and vendors and together, we

should

work out the logic of how SPF can work with DKIM:
    - how it can make DKIM-SSP better,
    - how DKIM-SPP can make SPF better.
If this has been discussed, chatted, or debated, we should pound it out

and

document it into a official SPF-DKIM-SSP Integration IETF I-D document.
Unless anyone else wants to do it, I volunteer to write the I-D document
once the interface requirements are worked out, which includes working

with

the final deposition of the DKIM-SSP design.
Comments?
