I'm a FreeBSD user server-side mostly, i can see about getting SPF
related products into the FreeBSD ports / packages collection.
That sounds great.
Of course, for mail-server specific packages, i might want to get
some help from people using that specific mail server software. Most
of my experience is with sendmail, but i am able to work with
postfix and qmail too. Time is limited on my side though, so i would
propose to start with adding pyspf and Mail::SPF as FreeBSD ports..
Perfect. I use Postfix myself.
I'd also encourage you to look at http://www.openspf.org/Software.
The Python policy daemon there provides a Postfix policy sevice for SPF
with pyspf. The Perl one works with Meng's Mail:SPF:Query. I'm currently
working with Julian to update it for Mail:SPF. It would be good to package
these too to provide these for a complete solution for Postfix. if it's
not there already, you'll need pydns too for pyspf.
I know Stuart is working on a Python SPF milter (a subset of what's in
pymilter). It would be useful I think if some volunteered to update the
Perl milter for Mail:SPF.
Let me know if I can help.
