Either way, surely the first step is to make the WG aware of
the concerns? Rather than just say 'we don't like it', I'd
far rather make a proposal of a way to address this concern.
You are quite wrong to assume that schema integration and stronger
typing is something that the XML Query group wants and the XSL Working
Group doesn't want. If that were the case, the specs would look very
different.
