No-one here is forcing you to use XSLT.... if you think it's too cumbersome,
then you're entirely at liberty to design, develop and implement your own
XML->XML language which is far better matched to your individual needs....


Well there is something that is at least tangenitally relevant in what
you had to say.

That is exactly what people like my friend do. They design libraries
in and use other languages for problems better suited to XSLT.
