Oddly, it's never been tagged as one, perhaps precisely we do have rules 
about it. But not wishing to hide this group's work under a bushel, I 
have added a few lines of summary to the FAQ at
  http://xml.silmaril.ie/whitespace.html#otherws

I'd be grateful for corrections and omissions, please.
