Subject: [fetchmail]fetchmail doesn't download messages from server

sometimes fetchmail will leave all the messages on the server, fetchmail -v
will croak... i have to delete the messages from the server before it works
again. even new messages don't download.
my .fetchmailrc file just looks like this:
poll foo.bas.org with proto pop3 user "moose%goose.com" there has password
"duck" is "moose" here
any idea what's wrong? i've seen something about malformed headers, but no
solution.
my config polls an imail server with fetchmail, it is handed to
sendmail/spamass-milter/clamav --> and delivere via qpopper to outlook.

is sunil's patch inccorporated into 6.2.5? a search by me of the patch and
6.2.5's transact.c indicate only partially... but i'm not familiar with such
things.
since my issue is similar to frank's, i wonder if this patch is present in
my verison. it could be a solution to the problem that several of us seem to
be having.
from the thread, it looks like there was some question of what to do about
these bad mesages, leave or delete, either is better than what happens now.
hopefully the patch is not there (and can be applied to 6.2.5), and this is
a solution.
