I'm including some fetchmail -v below, in this instance, I believe I'm
experiencing the same problem of no emails downloading... I notice the not
expected length errors, as well as the host not resolving errors, and most
importantly, maybe - the socket error. If these are relevant, can you
explain why? And how to avoid/fix. I saw something about nodns, timeout,
etc... Is these for Sendmail or .fetchmailrc? The fetchmailrc s are run as
fetchmail -d 300 and the .fetchmailrc files look like this:
poll imail9.bigisp.net with proto pop3 user "abel%moose.net" there has
password "secret" is "abel" here
Should I be doing something different here? The intent is for fetchmail to
pull mail onto a local server for local delivery. Clients poll the local
server for email, and can choose to leave it on the 'local' server depending
on where they are checking email from. eg, some home users poll the local
machine, but leave msgs on server for when they come in the office (where
their desktop clients remove msgs. from server).
