I wouldn't mind if something like Keith's method is included in
RFC-XXXX, even if it was mandated.
An alternative approach would be to simply write up two experimental
RFCs based on Nathaniel's and Keith's proposals, and "wait and see"
which one catches on.
I have no desire to compete on this. I'm pretty happy with Keith's
proposals. If we can all agree on them, I'd even be willing to put them
into RFC-XXXX, but I don't want to hold up the draft for it.
Is there anyone strenuously opposed to the essence of Keith's proposal
(as opposed to niggling details of syntax)?
