I agree with Ned. MIME really, really needs to get out there to fill
a very clear and present need.
I belive that the current richtext is sufficient for most of what
folks want to do; if something more sophisticated is needed, I'll just
send PostScript along. Or maybe son-of-richtext next year.
I think that some of the richtext samples we've seen so far suffer
more from implementation rather design; I'm sure with a bit more time,
Nathanial's richtext could be "cleaned up" a little bit and it would
look a bit more pleasing and presentable to the human eye.
My personal agenda is to have MIME replace a widely growing cancer
called NeXTmail before it gets too far out of control. People just
love it; being able to include documents and files and so forth; that
is, they love it if they have NeXT which not all my users do. The
longer we wait, the larger the conversion and education effort becomes
to handle the growing incompatible user base.
