Wonderful. I am delighted to hear that you have just completed the
worldwide installation of your preferred character set. I trust that
you can now send out a message, similar to mine, that contains several
different languages and can be read even more widely than my MIME
  message?
Okay, how about the following example? It is a part of the sample
data named doc/demo in mule2 (multiligual extenstion to GNU Emacs by
Handa-san). If you want more, I can send the other examples.

Examples of what? All I saw were a few english letters, some punctuation,
quite a few $ signs, and some little square boxes.

You have certainly not demonstrated to me that ISO-2022 is installed
worldwide, as Nathaniel challenged.

I mean, I could write "the Japanese word for rutabaga" here as a
demonstration that plain us-ascii can carry arbitrary languages, but it
wouldn't be a very powerful demonstration, since your software is unlikely
to be able to show the right Japanese word in place of the encoded one.
Same thing for 2022.

It is not installed everywhere. Perhaps it should be, but it is not.
