Keith Moore <moore(_at_)cs(_dot_)utk(_dot_)edu> writes:
(b) MIME readers MUST ignore trailing whitespace in lines that
are less than 1000 characters long, when examining a line
This would require up to 1079 octets of lookahead. A bit excessive, I
think. Do you really expect anyone besides the most active MIME IETF
participants to actually write a correct parser for this?
I would very much appreciate it if people would include the ABNF form
of their suggestions. The excercise of generating the ABNF should be
instructive.
