I've been convinced that I don't particularly care. My argument has been
that I don't expect such a registry to be particularly useful, since it
occupies a no-man's land between a comprehensive registry and a
well-reviewed registry that I'm not sure will fill anyone's needs. But I
could well be wrong, and regardless I don't see much harm coming out of it
other than a waste of people's time that they're volunteering.
