Not if the unknown field is structured and it allows quoted-string
somewhere. I don't exactly remember the rules for folding in quoted
strings, but there was a possiblity to express linebreaks with
quoted-strings - ah, no that was with the \CRLF construct.
So yes, you're right, folding at whitespace should then be save.
