That depends on what such a document would contribute to making
implementations more consistent.
I have stated (and still believe) that combining the many separate
MIME-related RFCs into a small set of consistent RFCs (a la RFC 2822's
consolidation of what was in 822 amended by ... amended by 1123) and
revised to use current ABNF would go a long way toward clarifying
matters. In the process, some of the existing ambiguities and
contradictions would have to be resolved. Currently the core MIME
RFCs refer back to RFC 822 -- as RFC 2822 is on the standards track
and (its successor) will someday obsolete RFC 822, those core MIME
RFCs will need to be updated.
If the "roadmap" is to be simply a list of the MIME-related RFCs, it
would be of little value except perhaps as a working document leading
to consolidation.
