Indeed, to protect it's members from unwanted unsubscriptions, it might be
better to drop the email than reject it. But, then the sender might never
discover what they're doing wrong.
Worse, such a configuration would do collateral damage: other "broken
ADSP" cases (forwarders which aren't mailing-lists in the sense that
we're describing) would lead to silent message loss.
If the recipient rejects the message,
then the list should be able to bounce back to the sender, since it was
originally properly signed.
Ideally, but without a reliable indication by the receiver that the
refusal was for DKIM failure, there's no easy way for the MLM to know
which bounces to return to the sender.
