Well, no, clearly, it couldn't really be "required" by the publisher could
it. There'd be very little extra burden on the publisher (or none, if
sensible defaults are chosen).

"Implementations" referred to the implementation to -check- the record,
though that was assuming that checks are usually done within the MTA.


At the moment, MTAs don't look at the
headers much if at all -- just the envelope. 

So you imagine that the only use that could be made of MARID would be by an
MTA? Hmm, Odd.

No, but it's a logical place: there are an order of magnitude more MUAs
than MTAs, and MTAs are usually run by people with a greater technical
awareness.
