No it does not. It checks each independently. See my previous post to your question.

SPF never does that, please do not confuse PRA with SPF.

would be possible to write an SPF record which applied only to HELO
or only to PRA or only to the return path.


SPF 2.0 was supposed to let you specify which contexts each record is
supposed to apply to, but I agree that it'll never get any traction.

SPF 2.0 won't, because its tied to PRA. That does not preclude SPF 3.0 using the syntax of proposed SPF2.0, which would superscede SPF1 and really be the second generation of SPF1 (because SPF2.0 was *not* second generation of SPF, it was hijacking to a completely different usage and meaning (PRA))
