Yes, in that sense it's "internal" from your POV.
 
The purpose of philosophical discussions are to obtain a
common agreement as to the intent of the system.  If no
one can agree on *why* the system exists, or *what* it's
supposed to be doing, then talking about *how* is a waste
of time.

It's a bit like Euclidian geometry (maybe s/Euclid/Postel/)
- and the bounces-to universe is the non-Euclidian geometry.

You can't say that non-Euclidian geometry is "wrong".  It's
perfect, parallel lines cross each other, MAIL FROM actually
means BOUNCES TO, the sum of degrees in a triangle isn't 180,
and the responsible party is not the Return-Path, but hey,
how about fixing it with a PRA ?
