If they have SBS set up correctly then it should just work. Unfortunately
Microsoft encourages SBS users to make up domain names under .local for
internal use, and if you follow this bad advice you can run into trouble.
However most of the trouble will only occur if you try to get Apple
Bonjour (which uses .local for multicast DNS service discovery) with a
private SBS domain created according to Microsoft's recommendations.
