When you have all ISPs/MSPs doing that, and all of them having at least one person who understands at least RFCs 5821 and 5822 on their customer support staff, and all of them having a human who will respond in a timely fashion to support or abuse requests, THEN maybe we can start looking at what that will allow us to remove from trace information.

In my experience, most ISPs (especially the popular ones) currently fail on all three of those things.
