well i hate to say in the end the legal argument amount to alot of
jibberish.  i appreciate your hard work on behalf of the community but
your idea of control is flawed.  thats what happens when one spends more
time looking at law and misses the technical details.  everyone has made
that mistake.

the "." is in the control of the end users.  thats who has always been in
charge of ".".  the DOC is irrelevant with respect to control.  it's a
consumer choice.

now if every government on this planet wants to regulate what *.* their
users use - then i say fine - thats an experiment i would love to see
happen.  better then the fireworks i see all the time at del crary park.

but failing that complete technical control of "." is in the hands of the
internets end users.  thats where the power in "." resides.
