I don't think more than about 5% of Internet users have ever used one of the
protocols you mention.
WPA/WPA2 (and formerly WEP) is likely used by >50% of the internet
users in Germany. Based on court decisions (filesharing) about
liabilities for running open WLANs, _not_ to use WPA/WPA2 can be a pretty
expensive risk.
