I know and it's trivially easy.
It would be nice if 5 or 10 years ago there would have been a good
standard to do address selection.

metrics in which tell the end system what is the best address of

The approach is totally against node/router separation of IPv6 to
make routers, the intermediate systems, a lot more intelligent
than nodes, the end systems, which is partly why IPv6 is hopeless.
