And yes, I realize that Step 3 is going to be incredibly unpopular for
the ISPs, but they created the problem, so they should have to live with
the results.
Which problem did ISPs create?
The problem CGN partially solves is providing connectivity for IPv4-only
consumer electronics. Renumbering the home network within RFC1918
doesn't provide additional connectivity.
