Yes, I can only say that luckily most native English speakers realise how 
privileged they are that they are able to write and speak in their native 
language and they take an effort to accomodate those that are less lucky....

What would be more funny is the IETF take such an attitude.

We can not forget that for us, bad writers and talkers, English is a
second, third, fourth, ..., language. So we are better able to improve
if the opportunities can be given.

Unless the very definition of the IETF is to be changed to exclude those
who speak "lower quality" (in a sense) of English, this would be more
