there's probably a discussion to be had on the interplay of process and culture.
a last call list can be purely process, without establishing/introducing
societal norms and conventions, while this list can be an education and fill a
broader role (end2end-interest used to fill a lot of that educational role, way
back when).

We just lost another 10% (?) from this list. At Plenary in Toronto several
folks admitted to unsubscribing years ago from this list. Without judging
whether or not the community needs a list for all the varied discussions that
take place here, isn't it time for a Last Call list?
