Breaking MH-E should have been easy a few years ago when it wasn't
actively maintained, but this is no longer a problem.  It's safe to say
that MH-E will adapt to whatever changes are made to nmh so don't even
worry about that as long as non-interactive usage is possible.  There
are at least three MH-E developers on this mailing list (Bill, Jeff and
myself).
