I'd vote for nuking these, as well:
uip/forw.c: if (mp->numsel >= MAXARGS - i)
uip/mshcmds.c: if (mp->numsel > MAXARGS - 1) {
uip/show.c: if (mp->numsel > MAXARGS - 2)
The msh one is for its rmm.
