There have been a couple of mentions of a FAQ for setting up Procmail.
For info, it can be found at:

http://www.is.kiruna.se/help/mail/faq.html
http://www.jazzie.com/ii/samples.html#fmf
http://www.jazzie.com/ii/internet/mailbots.html

There is a _lot_ of information here on starting with procmail! My thanks
to whoever mentioned the faq. I didn't even know it existed. Now I have
a place to start.

They's nice but is there a "20 Steps to the Prevention of Premature Boldness
due to Procmail" page/faq that lists recepies that cause errors and snippets
of VERBOSE logfiles with an explenation of how the recepie failed with refs
by line numbers to both the recepie and logfile as needed. Also, if it had
some common errors people make in writing recepies thatr may not show up in
logfiles with where it stuffed up and why would be good also.

Basically, something like this would go like:

<recepie>

<logfile>

<explenation>

Something like this would've helped me heaps when I first try to use procmail
as it needed to be setuid/setgid to the appropriate owner/groups on the system
here and I, being a clueless newbie, didn't know exactly what was going wrong
as the recepies I wrote all looked right. Ofcourse, when the admins here
installed it they all worked. 8) But now that's all moot cos the mail
machine is no longer this machine and the mail folder gets NFS mounted here.
The only way we can use procmail now is to send the rc to the admin and
if it contains nothing that puts stuff into different folders (ie. only
good for stopping places like aol.com from reaching me 8) they'll let it
run on the mail machine. *le sigh*

Anyways, I've crapped on enough... 8)
