The only way to learn it is to set yourself up a .procmailrc in
some account where it won't molest innocent mail, and play and
play and play. Take other people's code and break it (easy) then
fix what you broke (hard).
The first line in my .procmailrc (after variables are set) has always been
this:
:0c
Backups
and that has always saved me from any later procmail stupidity... well,
except mail loops, so
:0Wh
|formail -D 8192 idfile
is the second line.
These are the first steps to a larger existence.
