Ok, but that's a general locking bottleneck, independent of
whether using maildir or not.
Why do you think that? (maildir is supposed to be done without file
locking)
I was asking for specific conflicts, critical problems due to the
combination of locking with maildir alone, not due to load, which
is a general problem of locking, independent of maildir (or even
maildir never suffering from load itself because it uses no
locking itself).
I've begun this list before I learned about the H-error, and
put it then for explicity(?) reasons almost whereever used so
people know where a rule applies.
Just weed it out.
Nah, as Timo Salmi put it: I'll leave it in for educational
reasons: people better remember/ understand when they see things
explicitely rather than having to know implications. ;)
But I'll add the warning about H.
Thank you for all your input.
