One recipe takes certain bug reports and puts them into Trash. Is it

Yes. But you will have to tell us what mail box format you are using,
e.g. mbox, maildir, &c., before we can provide example recipes.
I use dovecot to serve maildir format mail.
If you
are using maildir this subject was discussed very recently. See the
archives (I find http://www.xray.mpe.mpg.de/mailing-lists/procmail/
works quite well).
Add a "Status: R" header to the message to mark it read. <--- as said on
one mail.
Cheers,
Nick.
I've gone through July and August's archives, and so far only found two
similar threads. Both concerned formail, of which I know nothing. I didn't
find the one about adding "Status:R" header - can you remember the subject,
or anything else I can search on?
Meanwhile, I'll go back to the docs and see if I can find out how to add the
header.
Thanks for the reply.
Anne
