Oh, one more thing I forgot to mention. Throwaway domains interact
very poorly with graylisting. This boxes spammers into a corner even
more.
(For those who aren't familiar with what "graylisting" is, it is a
technique to reduce spam by not immediately accepting email from
unknown parties. The SMTP protocol allows for a mailer to say "uh,
I can't handle this email right now, please try again later" via a 4xx
return code. The first time a new domain is seen, the email will be
delayed by 30-90 minutes, which is often enough time for the spam to
hit spamtraps.)
