Not even worth going any further with this discussion. You have your opinion
and I stand on mathematics and the notation as was put forth in the RFC for
ip address notation not as modified for lazy mail administrators. If one is
going to make changes one should at least try to maintain a consistency with
what went general principals and notation.

What does the following mean.

smtp.example.com. A 192.167.1.25
mx.example.com. A 192.168.1.19
example.com. MX mx.example.com.
example.com. TXT "v=spf1 a:smtp.example.com/28 mx -all"

Does it mean 192.167.1.25 192.168.1.19-192.168.2.18
OR DOES IT MEAN 192.167.1.25 192.168.1.0-192.168.1.255

Neither is right.

192.168.1.25/28 will give you a range from 192.168.1.16 to 192.168.1.31.
It's
the same as saying 192.168.1.16/28.
