Re: mail administrator certification example

The example I should have used was the one posted by an actual spf record.

Mail-OUT.Odessa.Net.
    195.66.204.51
where his spf record is Mail-OUT.Odessa.Net/24

Sorry it should have been /24 not /28

In that case, it's the latter one. The former makes no sense! You have
to do
the binary math, you can't just pick any arbitrary range of 256 IP
addresses
and say it fits the mask.

What does the following mean.

smtp.example.com. A 192.167.1.25
mx.example.com. A 192.168.1.19
example.com. MX mx.example.com.
example.com. TXT "v=spf1 a:smtp.example.com/28 mx -all"

Does it mean 192.167.1.25 192.168.1.19-192.168.2.18
OR DOES IT MEAN 192.167.1.25 192.168.1.0-192.168.1.255
