I see how SPF records can help if you are at the office. What about
when you are on the road?
I typically set the RFC 2822 "From:" header to my office address (here
bortzmeyer(_at_)nic(_dot_)fr) and I let the MTA (the mail server) choose a RFC
2821 "envelope from" which is sensible for the current ISP (here
stephane(_at_)laperouse(_dot_)internatif(_dot_)org).
Since SPF tests only the "envelope from", it works fine. Look the
headers of the current message.
I just don't see any way around this except using a cumbersome "remote
control" program
There are other solutions.
