Yes this is more of what I was looking for, and if there is further
consensus as to the use of Meng's name I will go ahead and remove it.
The reason I believe including his name is important is because that is
the first name that people think of when hearing of SPF, so in my mind
its the first name I want to mention when speaking about a change as
significant as another group of people taking over the responsibility of
furthering the work on SPF.

If Meng has time to put in his 2 bits it would be most appreciated, as
well as further consensus on the use of his name.

If no one else has anything to say on the matter I will change it to
reflect what Larry has indicated.

Cheers,

James

It is seldom if ever "in-appropriate" to mention someone's name in a
"positive" manner. In that context, an acknowledgement of Meng and others
who helped start the SPF movement (?) might be appropriate, along with an
acknowledgement the Meng agrees with such direction (if in fact he goes on
record as such).

Something like: "... This open community can best
be defined as individuals who actively work towards furthering what
SPF is and how it is developed in the future.
<change>
We acknowledge the tremendous efforts and forsight that Meng Weng Wong and
others have in both starting and developing SPF to the state it is today, but
</change>
SPF has grown since its
inception to the point that a true representative leadership is felt
necessary in order to continue to properly inform and develop SPF...."

And with - and only with - Meng's consent -
" Meng Weng Wong is supportive of this effort to date, and is in agreement
that the SPF community needs to move forward."...... ((needs a better
ending))
