Since patents are evil we should not be using GIF.
Photoshop saves .GIF files without giving any warnings. FrontPage
imports .GIF files without giving any warnings. If I get sued for using
.GIFs on my private home page, I'll just sue Adobe and Microsoft because
their software should have warned me about patent issues WRT .GIF files.
