If you would like to take on the duties of the webmaster for the
official SPF website, please reply to this message publicly and comment
on how well you think you match the above requirements; please don't
write long essays, just quickly introduce yourself with regard to the
above. You may also nominate others.

On or after Wednesday, 2005-06-15, the council will then formally decide
on who will be appointed to the webmaster position.

Guys'n'gals, what is up with you? For months, you have been complaining about the website being outdated, and now that we're asking for your help, after over a week only _one_ person has offered theirs?

When Daniel Taylor came forward a couple weeks ago I volunteered and worked with him to prepare to do webmaster'ing for spf.

When the council announced their requirements they included Mason. That rules out me (and possibly others). I am a firm believe in having *informative* websites cut the crap and stick to simple HTML, CSS and images. I have done many websites and applications this way including commercially, and never found it too restrictive from a functionality perpective.

I am still a believer in the KISS principle, and do not have time to engage Mason, and therefore have not volunteered.

It is not that one person would not be sufficient for now, but I'm really astonished by the sudden lack of enthusiasm...

If *lots* of people want the site fixed and if *lots* of people who complained are capable/willing to fix the site but practically *nobody* agreed to the requirements, perhaps you should consider the requirements as a common denominator for the problem.
