SPF does not "introduce a new problem" it "exposes an existing

That's not a problem. Forwarders don't re-address email; they never
have.. That's like saying cows are a problem because they don't eat
with a knife and fork.
I think I need to get a better metaphor. :-)
Ah yes, I got it!
Its like saying; you take medicine (SPF) to address your depression (SPAM),
but now you have erection problems (Forwarding) and hope your wife won't
notice (final MDA)! To fix this problem, you take viagra (SRS).
That is cute, and going in circles, but one more for the road:
If the source or contributing factor of your depression (SPAM) is your
pre-existing condition of erectile dysfunction (Forwarding), then your
medecine (SPF) is treating the symptom of depression (SPAM) without
addressing at least one of the underlying causes of the disease
(Forwarding). And its bad medecine to treat the symptoms only and not
treat the underlying disease.
The ability to forward with/without re-addressing to me is re-injection.
That is where our opinions differ.
And to most, re-injection requires the "forwarder" to take responsibility.
And to you I suspect forwarding is not re-injection.
But when MTA X gives the message to the target X intended Y, when Y
passes msg onto Z it really should be Y (not X) that is responsible for
the message getting to Z. Hence to me why it is re-injection whether or
not there is re-addressing.
